Cookies & External Services
Last reviewed: 18 September 2026
This notice describes the storage and third-party services used by the current website.
Public browsing
The English public website currently sets no application cookies for advertising, behavioural profiling or analytics and does not include a site-added analytics script. Category filters and planning-guide selections are temporary page state and reset on reload. Hosting and security infrastructure can still process technical requests needed to deliver and protect the website.
Administration cookie
The protected administration area uses __Secure-dz_admin, an authentication cookie scoped to /admin. It is marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict and expires after eight hours. Logging out clears the cookie. It is used to recognise an authenticated administrator, not for advertising. A separate __Secure-dz_challenge cookie lasts up to five minutes while completing two-factor authentication. This does not require ordinary public visitors to create an account.
Google Translate
Translation starts only when you select Kiswahili. The translated view is hosted by Google, which may use its own cookies and process technical information. You can return to the original English website using the language controls. See Google’s Privacy Policy and website translation guidance. PDFs, text inside images and dynamic content may not all translate correctly.
Email, WhatsApp and other destinations
Email links open your email application. WhatsApp links open a Meta service. External source links open the selected organisation’s website. Their own privacy and cookie notices apply to your use of them. The public forms do not automatically send your message: you review and send it through the selected communication service.
Your controls and future changes
You can manage cookies through your browser and use the English website without selecting translation. Blocking administrator cookies prevents sign-in. If we introduce optional analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this notice and implement the consent controls required for that use before activating them.
